These metal urine guards/scatter gaurds are made for your Ferret Nation and Critter Nation cages. They are available in galvanized or stainless steel. These gaurds are 5" tall and attach to the sides of your Ferret Nation or Critter Nation cage with the supplied hardware. Installing these with our replacement pans gives you the ultimate litter containment!

Galvanized metal will eventually rust, stainless steel does not.

FP-UG or FP-UG-SS is a 5 piece set for the larger pans.

FP4-UG or FP4-UG-SS is a 3 piece set for the side shelf pan.

    I didn't use this item but in the future I wish they were see thru so that we could have a better view of our pet on the bottom of the cage.

    These went on fast and are awesome, I would have given them 5 stars but the washers were to small for the large spacing of my bars.

    Good quality, fits well, easy to install. Only took 2 weeks to receive. 4 stars just because it dents easily. But I did choose the cheaper option so not a big deal.

    Length and width are precise and consistent with the cage dimensions as promised. Easy to install (even for one person). Couldn’t be happier to see a massive reduction in bedding scatter on the floor below the cage! Practically no mess is exiting the cage and the best part is that they are metal so they should last quite a long time! Prior to purchase, I had considered the wooden type of scatter guards. I ultimately decided to buy these instead for the following main reasons: #1, wood can absorb urine (and create odors and bacteria) #2, wood creates additional mess when chewed and adds to cleanup process which could potentially exit the cage defeating the purpose #3, as the wood becomes chewed over time the appearance is less tidy and finally #4 wooden versions are expensive and need to be replaced more frequently due to reasons outlined above. By comparison these can be wiped clean to reduce the chance of odor, are likely to maintain a clean appearance and are considered generally chew proof. All this combined makes these the best and most economical choice of scatter guards on the market!
